INDIANAPOLIS (February 13, 2023) – Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. made its third annual donation of TitanWax™ candle blend to Restored Creations, the social enterprise of Wheeler Mission’s Center for Women & Children.

Calumet provides Restored Creations with its total supply of candle wax for women to create the business’s soy-blend candles scented with premium fragrance oils. Restored Creations offers candles in a variety of scents and sizes.

“Our candle product business not only provides financial support for our mission, but also a therapeutic outlet for women who have survived homelessness, addictions, domestic violence and brokenness,” said Restored Creations Program Manager Melissa Jones. “These women handle every aspect of this enterprise, from hand-pouring the candles to hand-making the packaging to running the website we use to sell the products. This work empowers them to learn and develop skills needed to obtain and maintain gainful employment after leaving Wheeler Mission.”

Calumet’s lubricating oils, solvents, waxes, high-purity white oils, asphalts and fuels are used to develop some of the world’s best and most-trusted brands. Since 2021, Calumet has donated candle wax blend to contribute to the community. TitanWax™ products are manufactured at Calumet’s facility in Muncie, Indiana, but Calumet’s headquarters are in Indianapolis.

“We are one of the larger companies in Indianapolis, and we’ve been headquartered in the city for more than 30 years,” said Todd Borgmann, Calumet CEO. “We believe it’s important to give back to the community. When we found out one of our products could help local women through hard times, we didn’t hesitate to get involved.”

Calumet supplies over 1,200 pounds of TitanWax paraffin-soy candle blend to Restored Creations each year. Since the group makes two-, four- and eight-ounce candles, 600 pounds of wax will make anywhere from 1,500 to 3,000 candles. Calumet also purchases some of the candles for trade shows and gifts.
